Negative Feedback (2) items: A bit of an explanation for these from my perspective.

1st item - #739861163 from December 2002 - customer won the auction then refused to pay - I left negative feedback and so did he. I have a copy of the email here that I sent him asking to pay - was it rude? You decide...

2nd item (2006) #160053573319 (broken link now)ROBOTRON Cocktail Table New Old Stock from the Time Travel Warehouse (liquidated in October, 2006). This one is a bit more interesting. Customer(s) emailed me several times prior to the final bid and used two different eBay handles: "vic7948" (name now changed to "past_products" ) and "peak_products". They (Ms Mari Rehm and Mr Karl V. Payne both of the same address in Parker/Aurora CO) were stating that if they bid as much as $2500 that they expected the game to be inspected and made in good running order prior to our shipping it out. I agreed as that was a stipulation in the auction. So they won the auction at $3250US (a record price for that game!) and, as instructed, my staff opened the factory box, checked the game over, performed minor service, and took some pictures - two of which were sent to them on December - the day before the game was shipped out. (Picture #1) (Picture #2) The third picture shows the serial number on the game board, and a couple more of this game from our archives Picture #4 and Picture #5 showing the game working. The game was then packed on its pallet, wrapped and shipped off by Transgroup.
Our trucking company notified us a week later that they had delivered the game to their home and that was the last we heard from them...until I received this email on Mar 5th... No, there had been no previous communication from these folks from arrival of the game in mid December to this rather surprising email Mar 5th! I sent this email back as I knew we had sold a New Old Stock game that was in factory fresh condition and I assumed they had addressed the email to me in error...got this back. Note that the customer has NEVER been able to show that they ever phoned us - no phone record was forthcoming on this 'call'. I then telephoned them to ask for proof of this fantastic claim. Nothing was ever sent to me. The telephone conversation was interesting in that Mr. Payne stated that he deliberately waited until the PayPal Dispute Resolution period had expired before contacting me. There is more and I shall post it as I find it quite interesting...
At this point, being rather surprised by their allegations, I investigated their eBay feedback and found that they had purchased a SECOND ROBOTRON cocktail table under Mr Payne's eBay name - peak_products - for only $909US the day after they bought my game! Now which one did they show the person they brought in to justify their claim of a used rebuilt game? Mine or this one?
Odd that if we 'cheated' them ($3600 including shipping!) that they did not file negative feedback until April 11 when they had received this game in mid December. I have a lot more on this interesting claim, and shall continue to update this as the case goes on. PayPal agrees with me that it looks odd, and they are disputing the claim with the customers Credit Card company...

Well, May and June rolled around and their credit card company did not accept my argument and forced me to repay the $3600 total by making PayPal refund the money to the credit card company, then PayPal got on my case to refund them. That was done. Next Mr. Paine was to ship back the game they bought from me...so we paid for our trucking company to pick up a game - boxed and palleted in the original packing - and they shipped it back to us, at our cost - about $400US extra.

So we get the game back - open the box, and what do we discover? They shipped us the $909US ROBOTRON (picture of the inside of the game they sent back) instead of the NOS one we shipped them! Needless to say we are a bit choked about their stealing a game from us - but we are not finished with Mr Payne and Ms Rehm just yet...stay tuned...

Please ask about warranty (if any) on your purchase at time of purchase or before you bid...
Pods are tested at the shop, but we are not responsible for your equipment damaging them. So, sorry, no warranty on test equipment.
We have several warranties, here is an example of the 30 day one:
The limited 30 day warranty is: If anything electronic fails in the first thirty calendar days from date of delivery, you must contact me, we discuss the problem, you run a few simple tests (like can you hear game sounds, are the three lights on inside the game, etc.), then I determine what you need to mail to us. We then fix said item and send it back. You pay postage to us, we pay the return postage. We do not cover lights, switches, locks, cabinet...just the circuit boards for the game and monitor. The picture tube is not covered, but looks in excellent condition. It is a standard game monitor and inexpensive to replace. We assume you will follow the game manual included with the game to try and check out the game before you contact us, but we are always available to offer advice by email on games we have sold. We do not cover voltage surges, or external damage due to any electromagnetic interference. This is only for reasonable failure of electronic devices due to normal use in a home.
