8-Track Tape Reproduction

Choose the Game/8-Track in selection - these are rebuild 8-track tapes, fully erased and recorded with the audio tracks from the specified original tape a number are based on Mark Clayton's archives (see below).

Note these 8-track tapes are the spring metal with felt pad style, not the tapes that used foam to pressure the tape against the heads as the foam sometimes turns to goo after a few decades...

Where it all began many years ago - Mark Clayton - pinballpal - wanted to archive all the 8-track tapes that he could find and I (John Robertson) and a number of other folks all shipped him either tapes or read the tapes and sent him the audio files for his web site:

Arcade Archive (archive.org backup!)

This ran for a number of years until Mark suffered from a stroke around 2009 and was unable to continue providing tapes - so we picked up the slack. We've enjoyed helping folks keep their game sounds going! Note that the above link includes the audio files that you can download and use in MP3 players, etc if you wish to bypass the old 8-track system.
