1N4007 diode

1A 1000PIV (Peak Inverse Voltage) general purpose diode in a DO-41 case. Handy for the toolkit!

Note that this diode will replace 1N4001 (50PIV), 1N4002 (100PIV), 1N4003 (200PIV), 1N4004 (400PIV), 1N4005 (600PIV), and 1N4006 (800PIV) - it simply has a higher breakdown voltage than the other 1A Silicon diodes listed. Why stock many numbers when one parts covers all the rest?

Banded end of the diode typically goes to the B+ when installed on solenoid coils.
