Note that this rectifier diode will replace 1N5400 (50PIV), 1N5401 (100PIV), 1N5402 (200PIV), 1N5404 (400PIV), or the 1N5405 (500PIV) - it simply has a higher breakdown voltage than the other 3A Silicon diodes listed. Why stock many numbers when one part covers all the rest?
Banded end of the diode typically goes to the B+ when installed on solenoid coils.
