A remake of the 40 pin double ended ribbon cable. If your cable is bad, you've come to the right place! 

The cable is around 10 inches (26cm) long. 

Carefully remove the sub-board and NOTE WHAT DIRECTION IT IS MOUNTED! If you put it in backwards you destroy all the chips on the sub-board!!

Be careful not to damage traces under the plug when you carefully pry off the original 40-pin plug, that will also stop the game from work if you do...I slide a thin blade between the plug and the socket and rotate it gently a bit on each end trying to raise the connector straight off the board so pins are not bent.
