A great replacement push button PCB mount switch for the Roland JV-80 Electronic Keyboard with switches that aren't working properly.

Is your keyboard missing functions? These pushbutton switches may be the answer!

First - put your Keyboard into Self Test by holding down the buttons "button Number 1 ((QR), button Number 8 (CAPS), and button WRITE/COMPARE" while  turning the power on.

Next press the --> (arrow right) key four times - ALL the LEDs in the keys should light (the arrows, DEC, EXIT, and ENTER do not light up) - see second photo. Now press each button. The corresponding LED should turn off at the first press of the button - see last photo. If some LEDs do not turn off (and you got into this test) then it is indeed time to consider replacing the switches.

I suggest if more than a few switches are bad to replace all 54 of them as it is a pain to take this keyboard apart and you don't want to do it more than once every decade or so!
